Monica Grabin and FriendsCD release concert

Monica will present a concert on November 29th at 7:30 at the St. Lawrence Arts and Community Center in Portland, Maine. Joining her will be many of the talented local musicians who helped her on the recording, including Zack and Mazie Macomber, Byon Yeatts, Dana Pearson, Don Wessels, Tom Wilsbach, and Dale Robin Lockman. Don Wessels and Tom Wilsbach will also provide a short opening set. All these musicians will be performing songs from the CD as well as other gems Monica has gathered over many years, which will surely provide something for everyone. There are traditional folk (Barbara Allen to Bob Dylan), pop standards (Hoagy Carmichael to Gus Kahn), originals, and even a little bit of R&B.. The songs come from all over North America, hence the name. Continental Village is also the name of the place where Monica grew up, the site of a former Continental Army depot in New York’s beautiful Hudson River valley.
